A host of famous faces ploughed money into a scheme which allowed them to claim tax relief if they invested in the building of two data centres in Tyneside, north-east England.

The decision of the UTT in the Cobalt Data Centre 2 LLP and Cobalt Data Centre 3 LLP cases is important for the investors in the Cobalt Data Centre Development Syndicate (a.k.a. DC1) and a number of other Enterprise Zone Syndicates Administered by Valhalla PCS LLP which have similar appeals stayed behind the decision in this lead case in the UTT.
